“Thank you so much for lifting our spirits today!!! E had surgery to remove his main tumor on Monday and the gifts he received from TDF were so cool that he wanted to get down on the floor and play!!!!! Awesomeness! He was really needing to get up bc he is struggling moving past the post-op wet cough and he’s been having so much pain. Thank you so much how lucky we all are to have you all in our lives. God bless you all!”

From a Dragonfly Mom:

“We were down at CHMC today and a new Psychologist came in and said she wanted to know what she could do to improve things for parents/kids so I told her to tell EVERY new oncology family about Dragonfly. I was able to talk to her about Dragonfly, what we do and why it benefits us. She was very open and wanted to learn. Also gave out one of the post cards today to a receptionist who asked me about Dragonfly.”

“I think J’s turned the corner, he still has a long way to go, but he did eat a little dinner and seems a bit perkier. I’ll take it! I thought that we might be heading back in this morning. Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers. He was happy to hear that the Dragonflies were thinking of him.”

From a Dragonfly Mom:

“Thank you so much for the Parent’s Night Out. While we didn’t really know what to do with a night out we certainly needed to practice! Ha! The kids had an unbelievable time and can’t wait to come back again. I asked my son if The Dragonfly Foundation brought him joy tonight and he said “Yes, but it brought me sadness when I had to leave!” Quite the high praise from the anxious kiddo who was wary of even going!”

“The girls had so much fun at Parents Night Out last night! They made some new friends and look forward to seeing the new and old ones at an upcoming TDF event. Luckily, my husband picked them up, because, as always, the girlies didn’t want to leave!”

“I dont know how everyone deals with the sorrow and pain. I for one am at whits end. I just want to crawl under my blankets and cry forever. I cant stand the look of pain in J’s eyes when he goes to (the hospital). And all that pops into my mind is WHY? WHY? WHY?
•    Ria Davidson: B, there unfortunately is no why, rhyme or reason… How can this be right?? Hold onto J and your family as tightly as you can.
