What is FFTC?

Fashion for the Cure (FFTC) is a Sycamore High School student-run committee that works to raise money and awareness for a chosen charity with monthly fundraisers at local business and a spring fashion show. The students are proud to announce that The Dragonfly Foundation, a local non-profit dedicated to bringing comfort and joy to kids and young adults enduring cancer and bone marrow transplants, will be the beneficiary. Students supporting Fashion for the Cure dedicate themselves to fundraising and planning for twelve months. They receive the greatest reward at the main fashion show event; knowing they have impacted the lives of young patients and their families for the better.

The FFTC Fashion Show, scheduled for February 26, 2016 at Sycamore High School, gets bigger and better each year. The students have set a high fundraising goals, and have extremely lofty expectations for our show. This year’s event includes a silent auction, basket raffles, beautiful designer clothing, and models who are Sycamore High School student and teachers, and young Dragonflies!

We are working harder and faster than ever, and are so excited that to again partner with such an amazing foundation.

Why Dragonfly?

Until recently, FFTC selected a different charity to support each year. The Dragonfly Foundation was introduced to the committee in 2013. Everyone agreed that they would be a perfect fit for the 2014 event — and they were! We were very impressed by their commitment to their mission, their dedication to their patients’/families’ best interests, and their passion for doing everything they could to make an immediate impact. Their programs and services are so needed, both for in-patients and for those in recovery. Our experience with the organization was so positive, that FFTC decided to make The Dragonfly Foundation the sole beneficiary, for this year and beyond.

We hope you will join us in supporting this worthy cause.
