From one of our long-time volunteers, Anne Petersen:
“We recently got back from a family trip to Nashville. On the way we stopped at Mammoth Cave in KY and did a long and strenuous lantern lit cave tour. About half way through our guide had us turn off the lanterns to get an idea of how incredibly DARK (and a bit scary) the caves can be. After about 3 minutes our eyes began to adjust and my daughter said, “look Mom your Dragonfly bracelet is glowing”. The realization that indeed Dragonfly is sometimes the only light in a cold, dark place instantly overwhelmed me. I could barely choke out the words “yes, baby it is”.”
