Pappy Bourbon Raffle FAQ

What: Purchase a $100 raffle ticket for a chance to win the Grand Prize of FIVE bottles of Pappy Van Winkle Bourbon (the 10 year, 12 year, 15 year, 20 year, and 23 year bourbons) – and make not one, BUT TWO charitable donations at the same time! Four other winners will be randomly selected to receive a 2-bottle set of Weller Bourbon (1 bottle of Special Reserve & 1 bottle of Antique 107).

Cost/Quantity of Raffle Tickets: $100 per ticket (800 tickets will be sold)

When: Raffle ends May 13, 2019 at 5:30 pm. (Winners will be called before 7:30pm).

Beneficiaries: The raffle, sponsored by Cork ‘n Bottle of Crescent Springs, KY, supports TWO worthy children’s causes:

  • The Dragonfly Foundation: helps pediatric cancer patients and their families find strength, courage, and joy
  • Mason-Deerfield Rotary Club: funds college scholarships for Mason & Kings School Districts, and is working to fund a handicapped-accessible playground in Mason, OH

Q: How will the bourbon be raffled off?

A: The Pappy Van Winkle bourbon will be listed as a collection (one grand prize winner will receive all five bottles of Pappy Van Winkle). Four other winners will be announced; 2nd through 5th place winners up will be randomly selected to receive a two-bottle set of Weller Bourbon (1 bottle of Special Reserve & 1 bottle of Antique 107).

Q: How will winners be selected?

A: Qtego software will randomly select prize winners.

Q: How will winners be notified?

A: The raffle ends at 5 pm EST on May 13. Dragonfly will call and email winners before 7:30pm EST. (Only winners will be called.)

Q: Are the winners of the raffle winning the bourbon or the “right to purchase”?

A: They are winning the actual bottles. As described above, the grand prize winner will receive the 5-bottle set of Pappy Van Winkle and the four other winners will each receive a 2-bottle set of Weller Bourbon.

Q: When and where do winners pick up their prize?

A:  Winners of the raffle must make arrangements with Cork ‘n Bottle to retrieve their prize by June 1, 2019. Cork ‘n Bottle is located at 584 Buttermilk Pike, Crescent Springs, KY.

Q: Are there any stipulations or notes about the eligibility and prizes?

A: Yes, they include:

1) winner and 2nd-5th place runners up will be chosen at random by Qtego software, 2) a total of 800 total tickets will be sold (remember this benefits TWO CHARITIES), 3) The order of entry has no effect on participants’ chances of winning, 4) winner and runners-up must be 21 years or older to win, 5) winners will need a valid driver’s license that exactly matches the first and last name of the lottery entrant in order to pick up the tickets, 6) post-raffle arrangements must be made with Cork ‘n Bottle, Crescent Springs, Kentucky, 7) while the bourbon raffle benefits both Dragonfly and the Mason-Deerfield Rotary, Dragonfly’s Golf Classic ONLY benefits The Dragonfly Foundation.

Q: How will proceeds be divided between The Dragonfly Foundation and Mason-Deerfield Rotary Club?

A: Qtego will issue a check to Dragonfly for money collected, less their fees. Dragonfly will reimburse Mason-Deerfield Rotary for 50% of the raffle proceeds, plus their expenses for purchase bottles.
