One of our Dragonfly dads recently had a medical procedure that resulted in an amputation. (His child has cancer.) When we heard of his struggles we asked if he had been connected to any resources or sources of support.
He had not…
So we tried to help…
It started with a generic comment on an internal email that happened to include our Accounting Manager. It just so happened that her best friend’s husband lost his leg 2 years earlier. Within 45 minutes, she had provided us with his name/number, info about a support group, and contact info for a nonprofit that helps with prosthetics!!
ISN’T THAT CRAZY?!!!
It’s amazing how pieces can fall into place, if you just try!
