Kings Island Kicks Cancer

“I definitely see what we are doing all this for. “

A note from a Dragonfly volunteer who greeted Kings Island visitors for us on Saturday (still have openings in August!):

“I had a wonderful time volunteering today for KI Kicks Cancer! The staff was very welcoming and helpful with getting us set up, and guiding us on what to do. I was able to make genuine connections with a lot of people who felt comfortable enough to talk to me about their personal fight with cancer or the fight of a loved one–needless to say it was very rewarding. I actually got to meet a few Dragonflies who wanted to take a picture with me!–I definitely see what we are doing all this for. I am very happy to be apart of this organization and would love to sign up for ‎more shifts at Kings Island and for other volunteer opportunities.

Thank you for a wonderful experience,
-Perry”

THANK YOU, Perry! We are grateful for your help in raising awareness about Kings Island Kicks Cancer and buying soccer balls to kick into the water way! We hope that everyone who visits Kings Island from now until 8/24 will want to know more about The Dragonfly Foundation, Melanoma Know More and Pink Ribbon Girls!

Q: What is the Kicks Cancer Fundraiser?

A:  It is a new park initiative at Kings Island that is focused on raising awareness and funds for research, treatment and care in the fight against cancers affecting men, women and children. It benefits three local charities: The Dragonfly Foundation, Melanoma Know More, and the Pink Ribbon Girls. During July 25 through August 24, park guests can make an impact in the caring and cure of cancer by purchasing a soccer ball and kicking it into the park’s fountain on International Street for a chance to win a brand new 2015 Honda Fit courtesy of Kings Honda. Soccer balls are only $5 for one and $20 for five.

Kings Island will offer a special discount ticket during the campaign. With each ticket purchased, Kings Island will donate $1 of each ticket to Kings Island Kicks Cancer. Tickets will be available online mid-July.

For individuals that cannot make it out to the park during Kings Island Kicks Cancer days, you can still help make an impact by purchasing soccer balls online or making a donation today. Our Kings Island Kicks Cancer team will kick your ball into the fountain for you for a chance to win the car!
